Keith L. Horn

Keith L. Horn is an investor in and Lead Director of The Laundry Chute. In this capacity, Mr. Horn assists the company in a variety of roles as an advisor in deals and financings that call on his considerable experience in leveraged finance and mergers and acquisitions, and in his dealings with private equity, hedge fund and other risk capital sources.
From 2003 through August 2015, Mr. Horn served as Chief Operating Officer of Elliott Management Corporation, a global multi-strategy investment firm that currently manages approximately $35 billion of assets. Mr. Horn was responsible for global management and oversight of operational, support and control functions of the firm's investment advisory business. Further, Mr. Horn managed all the firm's relationships with the broker-dealer community, prime brokers and vendors. He was also a member of the firm's Management Committee and Chairman of the Valuation Committee.
Prior to joining Elliott, Mr. Horn spent 16 years at Merrill Lynch's Investment Banking Division, in various capacities, serving as Global Head of Leveraged Finance, Head of Latin America Debt and Chief of Staff to the Chairman and President of Merrill Lynch & Co. He was also a Managing Director in High Yield Finance and Investment Banking with the firm. Mr. Horn is also the founder and managing member of Loring Capital Advisors, LLC, which provides investment advisory and consulting services to hedge fund managers, asset management firms, small business concerns and high net worth individuals. The firm was founded in 2016. In 2016, Mr. Horn was appointed to the Board of Directors of Empire Resorts, Inc. (ticker: NYNY). Empire Resorts, Inc. operates as a public holding company which, through one of its subsidiaries, owns and operates Resorts World Catskills, a casino resort located in upstate New York. He currently serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee. In March 2018, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of ShopOne Centers REIT Inc., a leading owner, operator and manager of high-quality shopping centers.
Mr. Horn is a member of the Binghamton University Foundation Board of Directors and currently serves as a Vice Chairman of the Foundation Investment Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of PeacePlayers International, a non-profit organization that uses sports to educate and unite children in areas of conflict around the world.
He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Managed Funds Association, and was also a member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Nominating Committee and Chairman of the International Affairs Committee.
Mr. Horn began his career in private practice as a corporate and securities attorney. He received his J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center and holds B.A. degrees in Economics and Political Science from Binghamton University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors. Mr. Horn lives in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey with his wife, Lynn.
