Chief Technology Officer
David Conklin is the Chief Technology Officer of The Laundry Chute. Mr. Conklin is a seasoned technology expert, with over 20 years of experience in software development and architecture. In his role as CTO of TLC, Mr. Conklin is responsible for ensuring harmony between TLC’s business initiatives and software/technical capabilities.
Mr. Conklin began his career in various software development positions around the Pittsburgh, PA area with companies including Mellon Bank and the USX Corporation. Mr. Conklin then went on to work as the lead software developer for Fidelity Investments, eBusiness Group where he was primarily responsible for the design, development, and release of the NetBenefits 401k online servicing platform. Mr. Conklin continued on at Fidelity Investments, working as Director of Software Architecture for Fidelity’s Web Technology Group. In this capacity, Mr. Conklin was responsible for the scaling the NetBenefits software to handle an increasing number of clients. In 2011, Mr. Conklin left Fidelity Investments and worked as an IT Advisor Consultant at TIAA-CREF, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, where Mr. Conklin provided an overall technological assessment of the Client Systems organization and associated customer applications of the business. Mr. Conklin’s experience in initially developing and growing a software and technology platform has equipped him with the skills necessary to streamline TLC’s rapid growth from both a software and hardware perspective.
Mr. Conklin graduated from Point Park University with degrees in computer science and electrical engineering technology. Mr. Conklin currently lives in Washington, PA with his wife Cindy. Mr. Conklin is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys visiting national parks, camping and hunting.
